Why do I need a care plan ?

An Online Care Plan saves you time administering one of your business’ most valuable asset. They are specifically designed to keep your website running smoothly and protected.

Why am I always updating WordPress ?

Sometimes it can seem like WordPress releases a new version or patch every second day. This is a good thing, as popular as WordPress is with business owners like you, it is equally popular for hackers to have a good go. That is why updating WordPress with each version is the single best way to ensure you are protected.

Why should I trust you with my business website ?

As we said before, our speciality is WordPress websites and if you’re reading this, we probably built your site for you. Our team has more experience than most other generic ‘website maintenance’ providers. We know your website and how it works and use the same software for our own site, too.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc ?

The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case your website gets rolled into the ER, we will be there right by it’s side communicating with the web hosting on your behalf. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

How do consulting calls work ?

Email is our best form of communication since it yields the fastest response. However, we know brainstorming works best on the phone or on a video call. These consulting calls are reserved for our Manage Site and Master Site clients. They help focus a trajectory of the website for growth and improvements. Many times clients use this time to online screen-share small updates or training.

Does the monthly consulting call time rollover ?

Like a lawyer’s retainer, the monthly consulting/support time is there for you every month to reserve your place in our queue and our resources, therefore it does not rollover for Maintain Site and Manage Site plans. You can take comfort in the fact that what you will request within that 30/60 minutes of time (depending on your plan) will be addressed by our team with immediate attention.

Our Care Plans are customized to the client and allow for a time block for that month specific to their needs.

What tasks are included in the dedicated support time ?

Glad you asked! Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests, however anything that can fit into your monthly support time is free game. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

Do I have to create the content for the Social Media Management Package every month ?

You know your business and customer base best. Therefore we rely on you to send us a variety of content for us to extract from. The content that you send us can be a link, latest news for your company, an article you found interesting, a YouTube video, or another blog post from other sites you want us to monitor. Once we pull out the posts, we will request your approval and schedule them out for the next 30 days.

What is content assist ?

Content assistance is designed to take the pressure off and update your website on your behalf. We ensure that each update is performed inline with SEO best practice, ensuring no broken links and embarrassing content errors.

What if I need more hours ?

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at our current support rate of $95/hr.

My website was not build by TechDust, can I still be on a client plan?

Absolutely, we welcome clients who are looking for a long term relationship with a dedicated webmaster. However, the setup procedure will be a bit different. We will have to examine the site more throughly, making sure it was setup correctly by the previous designer. With the evaluation we will perform all the “Website Updates and Monitoring” tasks and make a full backup. Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. Typically, this Website Evaluation is a fixed 3-hour fee.

 

Can I really cancel anytime ?

Absolutely. We are all about a relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in. Request a cancellation via email to support@techdust.com, and we will immediately stop the next payment.
